Why do we ask to register to download the support documents?
Since early 2020, we ask our visitors to register to access the files we provide. The aim is to improve our support documentation by knowing who are our visitors and what they need. Login and registration forms are accessible through the links in the footer.
BBMRI Directory is a web-based tool, designed to share aggregate information about biobanks. It is the world’s largest biobank catalogue, which provides a central listing of biobanks and their collections. For researchers, it offers a means of finding samples and data, while for biobanks, it offers a platform to share the existence of their holdings and services and to connect with interested researchers. It is understood that the Biobank remains in control over ultimately granting or denying access to the requesting researcher.
This tool is intended for:
Biobanks and biobanks infrastructures willing to increase their visibility at a European level
Researchers looking for samples and related data for research purpose
As BBMRI operates on a federated model, with the support of National Nodes, biobanks wishing to register in the BBMRI Directory, must contact SBP. This process involves that biobanks are registered in the Biobank SQAN.
