Operational guidelines: SBP SOPs and forms templates

SBP provides operational guidelines under the form of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and forms templates. These documents detail the main axes of quality management, based on the ISO norm 20387 and international standards. They have been discussed within different working groups and improved with a national pilot project, the Swiss Health Study of the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH). These documents should be used to help biobanks developing their quality strategy and facilitate biobanks administrative workload while increasing quality.

For biobanks
How should I proceed?

In practice, the biobanks should use SBP guideline documents as a basis to adapt and detail the objectives and processes specific to their activity. In the end, corresponding Work Instructions (WOIs) and forms should be produced by the biobanks, detailing the specific requirements of the SBP guidelines. Upon request, SBP can support the biobanks in the elaboration of these documents.
