Celebrating new milestones
April 2025. GvHD study has been awarded the VITA Label, making it the 100th certified biobank in Switzerland!
This Biobank of the Applied Microbiology Research Group, is part of the University Hospital Zurich. It includes bacterial isolates, serum, skin swabs, biopsies, and stool samples collected as part of a specific clinical research study conducted at the University Hospital Basel and stored at the Institute for Medical Microbiology.
Our Sustainability Officer Lou Ferraton-Walder visited the site to congratulate Dr. Adrian Egli, Director of the Institute of Medical Microbiology Zurich and Vice-President of Swiss Biobanking, and his team on this achievement.
